Small Group Ministry
The applicant must be a baptized member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Must have a desire to maintain a committed relationship with Jesus Christand a passion for leading others along the same path.
Must be in agreement with the teachings of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Must be willing to devote time to doing evangelism on the university campus.
Must live a life above reproach and set an example for others to follow.
Must be willing to study and work hard during the school year.
Missionaries must canvass two summers with the Michigan Youth Rushliterature evangelism program.
Missionaries are expected to participate in the daily training for campus ministry.
Missionaries are expected to attend weekly mentorship sessions for personal ministry development.
Missionaries are expected to co-labor with students currently attending Wayne State University.
Missionaries are expected to conduct personal Bible studies, hosting/participating in small group ministry.
Missionaries are expected to assist in health ministry outreaches.
All expectations are intentionally aimed at the long-term goal of establishing a church on campus.
WHO SHOULD APPLY?
We are primarily targeting people who already have foundational theological knowledge and basic ministry leadership experience. Applicants should have a deep sense for a call to leadership and for public campus ministry. If you are not willing to wake up early, maintain a healthy exercise routine, and multi-task, this program is not for you.
