Tour de Witt

This bike tour will feature a 10-mile and/or a 22-mile circuit loop through the scenic countryside of DeWitt, Michigan – beginning and ending at the Ramos residence. A water/gatorade station will be provided by Team Revolution.

Individuals can complete goal distances of 30 miles, 66 miles, 100 miles, or the “fun” ride (however many laps you desire at your own pace). Individual entry or relay. It would be favorable if you rode the circuit with at least one other person for safety, camaraderie, and drafting.

When: The ride begins at 7:00am, Sunday, Sept 22nd. Please arrive by 6:30am to give ample time for preparation. We will have prayer and course orientation at 6:45am. The official riding time will end at 3pm or when the last rider finishes – whichever comes first.

Where: Ramos Residence – 12589 S. Francis Rd, DeWitt, MI (At times individuals have experienced problems with their car gps navigation unit taking them off course. The address is between Clark and Howe.)

Course Map: 

10 mile loop: (for shorter distance riders)

22 mile loop: (3 loops for century riders and 66 mile riders)

Group ride: For those interested, there will also be an “attempted” group ride at an average pace of 15-17mph. It’s entirely your preference whether you choose to ride with a group, a draft partner, or solo at your own pace.

What to bring: Your bike, helmet, cell phone, favorite energy bars, bike water bottles, and stop watch or bike computer for tracking. Bike Helmets are required.

Timing: Time will start when the riders begin the ride at 7:00am.

Aid Station: The course is a loop for both the 10 and 22 mile, thus the aid station will always be on the right-hand side at the Ramos residence. The aid station will have liquids and snacks.

Tour Van: If you experience mechanical problems or need to be picked up, there will be a Tour Van available to pick you up.  Be sure that you or someone in your group has a cell phone in case you need a pick-up.

Facilities: There will be restrooms and showers available for use at the Ramos residence.

Cost: $20.00 suggested donation towards Amazon Missions (our mission partner)

Prizes: Fun prizes at the end of the ride!

2. Is your spouse or children planning on attending? If yes, would your spouse be available to volunteer at the aid station?
